The Boilermakers continued their 2nd quarter trend, coughing up the pigskin on a muffed punt following the Wildcats’ first possession. “Mr. Reliable”, Northwestern’s Stefan Demos, put his mark on the stat sheet yet again with a 41-yard field goal, setting the score at 21-19, Purdue. Following an unproductive Northwestern drive, the Boilermakers started their next offensive sequence on their own 24-yard line, ending, yet again, in (you guessed it) a fumble forced by Brad Phillips to set the Wildcats up on their own 49-yard line heading into the 4th quarter.
