Northwestern Student Goes Above and Beyond

But what happens when an over-acheiver goes above and beyond the call of duty?
You get Shengyao Li, a junior in the McCormick School of Engineering.
Li has double the coursework of an average Northwestern student, taking eight classes this winter quarter.
Li spends over thirty hours a week just in class, triple majoring in engineering, economics and mathematics.
All but two of Li's classes this quarter count for grades.
Li says, "I think the hardest thing is keeping yourself interested in all of them. I am the kind of person that if I am not interested in a subject it's really hard for me."
Despite his workload, Li still finds time to eat dinner with friends and watch the occasional broadcast of NNN.
