They call themselves the “Box Squad.” With about 16 people in the company and with over 400 likes on Facebook one week after launching, BoxCo., prides itself on its slogan, “Storage Made Simple.”

“To start off, there’s plenty of other options on campus, I think there’s a few ways BoxCo. Really stands out,” said Prateek  Janardhan, CEO of BoxCo.

BoxCo CEO says, one of the unique aspect that the company offers is the concept of “Mix and Match,” in which students can trade off boxes for other items such as TV and fridge without extra cost. BoxCo.  also provides a quantity discount, so the more you buy, the less you pay.

On Friday, the start-up gave away one free medium box to anyone who signed up at its promotional event.

“I’m psyched about it. It’s supposed to be 20 dollars, but it’s free and that’s awesome. The boxes are awesome and cheap and it’s good storage,” said Weinberg freshman, Kevin Lewis.

With secure climate controlled storage and flexible pick up and drop off times, BoxCo. wants to adhere to the needs of students both on and off campus.

“We want every interaction a customer has with us to be fun, that’s kind of our goal,” Janardhan said.

The company will start picking up boxes May 28th and will be ready to drop off items in early September.
