Northwestern sororities embrace the season of giving with Kappa Alpha Theta's Harvest for Hunger.
The week-long event is a Thanksgiving food drive benefitting the Greater Chicago Food Depository. Almost 700,000 men, women and children in Cook County rely on food provided by the Depository. It distributed more than 69 million pounds of food to people in need last year.
In the campus event, sororities collect non-perishable food items, and the house that gathers the most wins a $50 cash prize a philanthropy of the sorority’s choice.
Delta Zeta won this year's collection drive contest.
