Northwestern students hear from a TV personality most grew up watching.
The environmental group SEED brought Animal Planet host Jeff Corwin to campus Tuesday night to talk about the importance of environmental conservation.
Best known as the host of the “Jeff Corwin Experience” on Animal Planet, Corwin has spent his career advocating for the conservation of endangered species.
"Having all of our academic interests come to fruition as college students and seeing someone from our childhood come and reinitiate our memories about animals and plants and about life and about the world ... ,” SEED ASG senator Mark Silberg says. “He's sort of a guy that we all remember and he's still doing great work."
SEED stands for Students for Ecological and Environmental Development. The group promotes environmental sustainability with events throughout the year.
